General information
canfitpro is excited to partner with Rescue 7 Inc. to offer CPR and AED training. The purpose of this training is to leave you feeling secure enough to react quickly and effectively in an emergency situation.
The chances are quite good that in your lifetime you will be involved in a situation which will require familiarity with CPR and AED. Our training is designed to be user friendly so that all people, regardless of ability, will gain the confidence necessary to act effectively until trained emergency personnel arrive at the scene.

CPR & AED courses are accessible, affordable and attainable, designed to provide members of the public with the knowledge and technique that is needed to properly perform CPR in any unforeseen emergency.
Our live certification courses are based on accepted international standards and will teach you how to react in an emergency situation; whether it is for work-related purposes or other unforeseen personal emergencies. The live CPR & AED certification courses were developed in accordance with recommendations from International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Consensus on Science.
CANADA: Approved and Recognized by Provincial Regulators and Agencies, Health Canada, Transport Canada, Human Resources & Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

TYPES OF CPR & AED COURSES
The CPR Level A is a comprehensive course that will increase your knowledge to perform CPR on adults in any emergency.
TOPICS FOR CPR LEVEL A INCLUDE:
- Risk factors for health disease; knowing which factors you can/cannot prevent
- Identifying the key signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest
- Knowing the signs and symptoms of an adult choking and the steps in providing first aid
- Knowing the benefits and proper position of placing a victim in recovery position
- Learn to perform adult CPR
PRACTICAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
You will be evaluated on your CPR competencies and skills during the CPR course. Candidates who are able to demonstrate their ability to apply the required skills will obtain a CPR card valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.
INCLUDES THE TOPICS COVERED IN CPR LEVEL A AS WELL AS:
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are small, lightweight devices that look at a person’s heart rhythm and can recognize ventricular fibrillation (VF), also known as “Sudden Cardiac Arrest” or SCA. Research has shown that AED Programs can increase survival rates from 5% to 75%.
Our AED course teaches the techniques for safe AED use, the need for AEDs, how the heart works and how to use the equipment safely on a victim of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
This is a comprehensive course that will increase your knowledge and confidence level to perform CPR on adults, children and infants in any emergency.
TOPICS FOR CPR LEVEL C INCLUDE:
- Risk factors for health disease; knowing which factors you can/cannot prevent
- Identifying the key signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest
- Knowing the steps to perform one and two rescuer CPR on an adult
- Knowing the steps to perform CPR on an infant or a child
- Knowing the signs and symptoms of an adult, infant or child choking and the steps in providing first aid
- Knowing the benefits and proper position of placing a victim in recovery position

CPR Essentials is a CPR & AED knowledge course delivered virtually to give you confidence in your CPR skills and introduce basic CPR skills for personal use.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
- Performing CPR for adult, child, and infant
- Technique and theory for AED use
- Key signs & symptoms of heart attack & stroke
This course is not approved or recognized by provincial regulators and agencies and does not qualify for workplace safety and insurance requirements.
DO NOT take this course if your employer requires a full CPR or First Aid certification, no certification card will be issued.
